If you have an interest in history and want to learn more about the first Native American settlers, than the Jeffers Petroglyphs Historic Site is a perfect place for you to visit.
Here, you can view many sacred stone carvings created in the ground by the first American Indians in the area. Each carving tells a unique story about the past. There are over 2,000 carvings here that are anywhere from 500 to 7,000 years old.
Tours are offered daily, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and admission is $6 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, $4 for children ages 6-17 and free for children under the age of 5.
